About Hawk Mag

        Hawk Mag was started in the year 2019. It started as just a collage of pictures from other magazines, then we wrote small articles about what people at our school liked, like who liked Target and who didn't. We interviewed our teachers and principals. The first Hawk Mag that got "published" was called Hawk Mag: Is Our Country In Good Hands? It contained an interview with Mayor De Blasio of New York, an interview with our principal, and a short fashion page. Finally, Hawk Mag became what it is today. The first issue was about Climate Change. At first we thought it would be just a magazine about our school, but it gradually changed to a magazine mainly about climate change, sometimes straying off to another topic we found exciting. We printed the magazine on our parent's printers, and then sold the magazine on the street. We made a lot of money on our first magazine, so we donated all our profit to the charities Greenpeace and World Wildlife Foundation. We are continuing to write articles and we continue to raise money for charities we believe in. Hawk Mag was started because we wanted to inform other people about climate change (and sometimes other topics) and we wanted to find a way to raise money for certain charities.
